In this picture, there is rusting colouration which is a clear indicator of a high water table. Now if a conventional type of gravity system where to be put in place, the system would quickly be in a state of failure comes the seasonal high water.

Thus the importance of conducting due diligence and identifying the soil and the horizons along with percolation/permeameter testing to look for the restrictive layer and identifying the hydraulic loading rates of the soil types.

This enables us to determine the right system for the soil type or restrictive challenges.

moreSeptic Tanks Will Need to Be Inspected Before Buying or Selling a Home

When you have a septic system attached to your home, you should take the time to have it inspected at least once every year. If nothing else, this will let you know what kind of condition your septic tank is in so that you can prepare for additional maintenance and repairs accordingly.

You will also need to have a septic tank inspection done whenever you buy or sell a home. As a buyer, you never know how well a septic system has been maintained over the years, and the last thing you want to do is agree to purchase a home that has a septic system that needs to be replaced. It could cost you thousands of dollars and make your new home a nightmare.

As a seller, you want to be able to use your septic system as a positive rather than a negative when selling your home. You should have it inspected so that you can let buyers know what a great job you’ve done pumping your septic tank and maintaining it.

New septic tank installation isn’t something that buyers or sellers will want to think about, so a septic inspection will put everyone’s minds at ease during the selling process.

For a luxury home average sewage flow per occupant is often higher than for an average home. Luxury
homes often include the following:
• Larger overall floor area with larger rooms than an average home.
• High quality, high cost materials than average.
• More water use appliances than an average home.
• Domestic service workers.
• Large parties and frequent guest use.
Average flow per occupant for luxury homes is reported to be approximately twice that for normal homes,
and sewage flow typically increases with increasing cost of homes (Laak 1986; Geyer and Lentz 1966).
